WHAT’S THE B STORY?
I used to think if you just gave people the right information, they'd follow through.
That if you trained them well, gave a strong pitch, mapped out the steps - things would click. But over and over again, I saw something else: the people who knew what to do still weren’t doing it. Not because they didn’t care. Not because they weren’t capable. But because no one had spoken to the real story underneath.
The B story.
The B story is what drives everything we do - the beliefs we’ve built, the fears we carry, the motivations no one sees on the surface. The A story is what we say we want. The B story is what actually determines what we choose, commit to, and act on.
I discovered this truth working across classrooms, coaching programs, and corporate teams. No matter where I was, nothing created transformation until we understood the B story. That’s when I realized: this is the work. Not just telling people what to do. But building frameworks and learning experiences that speak to who they really are, how they make meaning, and what they need to feel safe and motivated to change.
Now, I help leaders and coaches build programs, workshops, and communication that start there, with the B story.
